This program provides a web-based curriculum based on the inter-disciplinary content of the STC-MDITR. The central component of the curriculum is a series of on-line manipulatives that allow for users to explore specific scientific concepts.

Target Population: 6-12 teachers and students

Status: The first two modules (grades 6-8 and 9-12) focusing on Fiber Optics based on the concepts reflection and refraction will be ready for review at the end of the calendar year. An expert review panel is being scheduled for early 2004, and pilot testing in classrooms for late winter/spring of 2004. There is discussion of hosting a teacher workshop in the summer of 2004 to initiate field-testing in the autumn of 2004.
