Students meet with an underrepresented faculty member to discuss pathways to leadership, career trajectory, work/life balance, and strategies for success for underrepresented individuals in the sciences, engineering, and math fields, etc. Dr. Jesse Martinez is a Professor in the Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy and the Department of Radiation Oncology. His overall interest is in the dysregulated signaling that occurs during tumor development and in applying the knowledge gained from investigations to interfering with or circumventing those dysregulated pathways as a means for treating or preventing cancer. |
