Objective


Free-Standing All-Polymer Microring Filter.

Develop novel E-O and AOS material systems for fabricating innovative devices to achieve light weight, low drive voltage, and ultrahigh-speed information processing.

Implementation Plan

• Exploit new chemistry and processing methodology to control and improve nonlinear optical activity and stability.

• Utilize theoretical guidance to reduce trial and error experimentation.

• Exploit new device concepts and structures for enhanced performance.

 

Impact

E-O materials and devices with revolutionary performance will be produced to provide unprecedented impact to both civilian and Department of Defense related applications.
